About Fritz and Freda
We have been asked if we can help find a new loving home and family for a gorgeous pair of miniature Schnauzers.
Freda and Fritz are brother and sister and 8 years old. Fritz is about 10kg and Freda smaller. Fritz is a laid back chilled little guy and Freda a little more intense. They are desexed and vaccinated and will be microchipped prior to adoption. They have been together their whole lives and will not be separated. They come from a home where they have been loved and cared for - but life has thrown a curved ball and a really sad (and hard) decision has been made to find them a new family.
They are lovely dogs and love their people, running around at the dog park, being part of the family and lots of cuddles and love.
They are typical Schnauzers - protective of their home, and will bark at anything that comes near the home.
They CAN NOT be homed with cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, or chickens under any circumstances - so are not for you if other animals are already part of, or planned for your family.
They are terrible on the lead - they pull - and Fritz will redirect his excitement to Freda - biting her. They will need an owner/s who are prepared to put in some effort teaching them to walk nicely on the lead - and who can manage them while they are learning better lead manners.
They travel well in the car restrained, after an initial yap. They are used to being groomed regularly.
Their family would love for them to see out their days, in a loving home, where someone can spend the time that they rightly deserve and make them an integral part of the family.
They are located in a regional area but a meet can be organised for a weekend. If you are interested in making Freda and Fritz a part of your family, please complete an adoption application so that we can see whether they might be the right match for your family.
Adoption details
If you are interested in one of our dogs, please send us an email at: hopespringseternaldogrescue@gmail.com in the first instance telling us who you are interested in, and why. We will then send you an adoption application to complete.
At a minimum, we will expect that all of our dogs will be inside/outside dogs and will be treated as a valued member of the family.
If your family needs match the needs of the dog, we will call you to discuss further and arrange a time for you to meet the puppy you are interested in.
If this goes well and you are keen to proceed, we will organise a mutually convenient time with you to undertake a fence/home check - and for the dog you are interested in to meet the rest of the family - both human and other animals.
If you feel that you would like to add the dog to your family, we will ask you to pay the adoption fee and the dog will commence a 4 week trial period - for all of you (both humans and pets) to make sure that you will all be happy living together. We will check in on you during this time and will be available to respond to any concerns you may have during this period.
If everyone is happy at the conclusion of the trial, we will transfer the microchip and provide you with any medical records and information we have on the dog you have adopted.
We will take the dog back into care at any time - if things do not work out - and we appreciate that sometimes - they just don't - for a number of reasons.
We will ask for a happy snap of the dog with their new family members for our adoption gallery and will ask whether we can use that in promoting our rescue on Facebook, the Internet or other promotional materials.
We want the process of adoption to be a happy and exciting time for you and your potential new family member and will work with you to make the experience as positive as possible.
