About Boots ~ Kelpie x Border Collie (on trial 25/7/18)
Meet Boots! He is a loyal, loving and lively Kelpie x Border Collie! This stunning young man, only 18 months old, is so full of life and love. He is already learning to "Settle", Recall and Crate.
Although Boots is an extremely active dog, he is learning to relax and sleeps at the foot of our bed each night until the morning.
I feel that he cannot yet be left alone for any long period of time even with another dog for company but he is learning that "Back Soon" means just that. We have left him with our dogs to go to the cinema and he has been fine.
Boots has been to a dog training school and has lovely basic manners which could be built upon.
All in all, Boots is a beautiful dog, not only in looks but in nature and I will be very sad to see him go but he needs an active, involved home with someone who is perhaps interested in dog Agility or Flyball but if not, running, beach walks and being part of a family.
Boots is fully toilet trained, good with other dogs and he would make a great dog for an active family with children over 10 years old as although he loves kids he still jumps up but we are getting much better at staying put!
For more information or to meet Boots, please contact his foster carer Lauren on hitthesand@hotmail.com. Boots is in foster care in Port Stephens area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Boots’ adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
