About Ramone DL1831
Ramone is a handsome Rottweiler mix with bundles of energy ready to go when you are.
He’s a big goof and, at times, a real sook. He is house trained and will sometimes use the dog door but is a bit nervous of it. However, when he does use it, he is very proud of himself!
Ramone would be just as well suited to full time workers as he would with people who are home. He is very well behaved when left in the yard, typically sleeping a lot, playing with toys (his rubber blue squeaky bone is his favourite), or having the odd bark at strange noises- just to let them know he’s there! But likewise, he loves to be where you are, often following you about.
Ramone can be very excitable, he’s kind of like a giant puppy. This means he can forget his manners, but once settled with you, he’s gentle and doesn’t jump up. Firm boundaries are important. His training is an ongoing process, which is more than alright with him, as he loves his treats. He knows “sit”, “down" or "off”, and “out”, at the moment, but is in the process of learning much more! An owner willing to continue training is a must- he will most certainly thrive from it.
Ramone loves going to the beach and loves his daily walks. He does well, mostly walking with a loose leash unless something smells amazing and then he can pull slightly. Though he can be cautious of people entering his space while on lead so will need more practice with this.
Ramone gets excited to see other dogs on the street but hasn’t really learned the best way to say hi yet. He hasn’t been tested with other animals or kids, but as he's an excitable boy, he is likely best suited to a more grown up home. He can be nervous around traffic and can startle at loud noises. This shows his sensitive side and makes him oh so adorable.
He has so much love to give and will melt your heart every time he comes in for a snuggle! Please email DFL today if you'd like to meet Ramone.
