About Esk
Check out this cutie!
Esk is a bright and happy little girl who is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. She loves her people and gets excited to see you in the morning and when you come home. Nothing is better than hopping up on the lounge to snuggle in next to you though as she loves to be close to you. Esk never says no to pats and cuddles and when she is happy you see her little tail go a million miles an hour. She’s got such a soft coat and her underbite just adds to her character.
Despite limited socialisation earlier in her life, Esk is friendly with other dogs and used to living with other small dogs. During her time in care, she has spent some time socialising with some gentle big dogs too who she was comfortable with but she is too small for a boisterous larger friend as she is less than 5kg. Esk is also great friends with cats as well. She used to live with a cat and now is in care with a kitten who she is best friends with. The cheeky little kitten uses her tail as a toy and Esk doesn’t mind at all!
Esk has settled into care very well and has shown us that she understands some basic commands. She walks well on and off the lead, though she does show she is a little timid when out walking on the leash. With continued practice and gentle guidance she will grow in confidence. Esk is food motivated and a smart little girl who knows how to use a cat/dog door to take herself outside to the toilet. She has no separation anxiety and is not a barker. Although only little, she should still be taken out on regular walks to keep her healthy and happy throughout her life.
We are looking for a home where Esk will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. She will require a home with another pet – another friendly and gentle dog and/or a dog friendly cat who will interact and play with her. Alternatively, a home where someone is home more often than not would also suit. She should be allowed inside to be with the family and have access to a secure yard. A home with older children who are not too loud would be preferred as she is not used to the rowdy young ones. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this beautiful little girl will have many enjoyable years to cherish with her.
If you would like to make Esk a part of your family then let us know by filling in an adoption enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
