Hi my name is Lexi, I am a 2-year-old female Dalmatian X who is very sweet and loving.
I am looking for a very loving home where I can get lots of affection and all the training and socialisation I need. A home with an experienced dog owner would suit me best! One that will not be put off by me being timid at first or by me needing to learn how to interact with other dogs.
When I first meet new people, I am a bit unsure and I may bark once or twice and hide but it isn’t long before I am wanting to sit on your lap and watch a movie with you though, especially if you have something yummy I can eat!!
I need to learn about is other dogs when I am out on a walk, I am not sure of them and I bark at them and try to get to them it’s just to play but people could take it the wrong way, so I need someone that will take me to a trainer to overcome that. Lots of socialisation and going to training regularly will really help me to overcome this so if you can take me to training would be ideal, I will reward you with lots of love and affection.
There are two dogs here that I get on well with here I like to chase them around I’m not really interested in the ball they are chasing I like to chase them. I could be fine in a home with another dog once the introductions are done, I am better suited to a confident dog or I could try to take over.
I am toilet trained! I take myself outside when I need to so you don’t have to worry about that. I am getting better at walking on lead and would love lots of practice. If I was left on my own for too long I could get bored without enough exercise and lots of interesting toys to play with I am not suited to a home where you would be gone for more than a few hours unless you take me for a walk/run first and leave me things to chew like a bone or toys if I am going to be on my own.
I can shake hands and give high fives as well as sit and I can catch treats. My foster mum says I could learn a lot more and I am looking forward to finding a home where I can go to training and learn what I need to do to be a great companion. I travel well in the car and like being with you wherever you go. My ideal home is one where I am an inside and outside dog – at the moment I take myself in and out when I want – also a home where I am inside at night I want to be a full member of the family.
Give me a call and we can meet!
Love Lexi xoxoxo
