About Herman
Herman is approximately 5 months old. He is a lovely and at times lively young man.
We suspect that Herman is a wolfie or staghound mix. We aren’t sure how big Herman will grow to in adulthood, but it’s looking like he might be a medium to large dog.
Herman loves to have company. He currently lives with other dogs, that at times he drives to distraction with his attention. So if Herman was to be rehomed with another dog we recommend that it is with a very tolerant younger adult.
Herman is crate trained and he adapted to this with no fuss.
Herman is very agile. The boy can jump! He will require a very secure yard with adequate fencing. And will also need a nice shady yard due to his colouring.
Herman has commenced and picked up basic commands such as sit and wait. And we are also working on shake or ‘paw’.
Herman will require ongoing training and confidence building. He has displayed some separation anxiety in the form of barking. So his ongoing behavioural management is a must.
Herman has met a few cats and met them nicely. But has not had extended time with them for a true judgement on whether he could live alongside one.
Herman’s perfect family or person would be one where he is included in daily activities and not left alone in a yard all day.
If you think you can provide Herman with everything that he requires please express your interest via this form http://www.4lyfe.org.au/adoption-application
**Please make sure you have read his listing before submitting an application**
