About Chanel and Dior
Chanel and Dior are a beloved pair of chihuahua siblings whose owner surrendered them only due to her own health concerns. They've never known anything other than love and devotion, and now we're tasked with finding them a family who will adore them just as much as their original family did.
Dior and Chanel are totally devoted to each other. They are inseparable and must be adopted together. Dior suffers from some anxiety and really pines for Chanel when she's not there. Although he can be a little uncertain with new people and situations, he is just fine if his sister is by his side.
The ideal family for Chanel and Dior is one that would love to spoil and cherish them. They enjoy their food (we've had to put them on a diet!) and love going for a daily walk. They enjoy human company so would love a family who have plenty of time to spend with them, however they keep each other company when the humans are at work.
Chanel and Dior are tolerant of children but would prefer not to share their home with noisy kids. They do love a game and a snuggle so teenagers and above would be most suitable.
Chanel and Dior are used to living with other dogs but Dior takes a while to warm up to new dogs he meets, particularly big ones so a gradual meet and greet is essential.
If you have room on your couch (and maybe on your bed too!) and lots of love to give, Chanel and Dior may well be your next best friends!
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant X-rays and medical notes.
Dior is a healthy boy with no major medical conditions. He has regularly had his teeth cleaned throughout his life.
Chanel has had bilateral patella repair whilst in the care of CRQ. This has been two very major orthopedic surgeries but she has recovered well. She would benefit from arthritis supplements. Chanel also gets anal gland irritation from time to time so we manage this with a diet high in fibre and add pumpkin to her dinner each night. She loves this and it's made a big difference.
Chanel too has had regular dental cleanings throughout her life.
