About Fitzie ~ Shih Tzu X (on trial 6/3/2018)
Fitzie is a 7 year old male Shih Tzu x who is in search of his forever home. Fitzie is a bundle of fun and always has a smile on his face and a happy wagging tail. He is ready for a walk or game and when you are ready for some quiet time, he is too.
Even though Fitzie is currently in care with other dogs, both large and small, he would love to be an only fur kid where he could be your best mate and companion. He loves car rides, going for walks and just hanging out with his human.
Fitzie’s ideal home:
· No cats, sorry they are just too hard to resist and run really fast.
· One other doggy or none is fine.
· No children under 12 years old. Fitzie is a very gentle dog but does not like to be picked up by children.
· Must be allowed inside and out at all times and must be allowed to sleep inside, your bed will be just fine thank you.
Fitzie loves to spend his day pottering around the yard and lazing in the sun or on the lounge, occasionally looking up, showing his cute smile and acknowledging his carer.
If you are looking for a loyal companion who is fun as well as affectionate, then Fitzie is for you. Fitzie is a long haired breed who will require grooming to keep him looking his best.
For more information or to meet Fitzie, please contact his foster carer Vicky on Vdavies93@gmail.com. Fitzie is in foster care in Kurri Kurri, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate.
Fitzie’s adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
