About Jet ~ Labrador x Kelpie (on trial 22/9/19)
Jet, Jet, Jet ... My gorgeous loving boy ... If you have watched his video, you will have heard Jet's story, now it's my turn, his foster carer.
Jet came to me a scared waif, frightened of shadows and loud noises. Jet had a history of biting on two occasions. I gave this boy space and time to come to me when it suited him. Jet is now my shadow, snuggling up next to me on the lounge, happy for me to pat him and play with him, rub his feet, his tummy. Sleeping on a bed on the floor of my bedroom. Jet initially appeared to be scared of visitors to my home but this has greatly improved.
When Jet is introduced to new people he is fine. Jet's first reaction to new dogs coming into his face and space when he is out walking is to growl. So someone experienced and willing to train Jet would be perfect. However, Jet loves his ball and bear, he would happily spend hours chasing his ball, which gives him all the exercise he needs.
Jet adores my grandsons, encouraging them to play ball with him. He loves a play with my older Labradors, I smile to see them racing around like pups every morning. Jet is house trained, happily using a doggy door. Jet is not food aggressive and will sit back, waiting his turn for the treat or chicken neck, taking it gently from you.
Jet would love to be a companion for someone home mostly, so whilst it may not be you, consider your neighbour or a family member who is not on Facebook. Jet is very much a gentle soul and I know his perfect home is out there, we just have to keep sharing him.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
