About Luna ~ Border Collie X (on trial 10/3/2018)
Luna is a 2 year old Border Collie x. She has come from a broken home and could not stay with her family who loved her very much and you can tell.
Luna has a brilliant shiny coat and is very fit and healthy, she loves to play games especially with a ball. Take her to the beach or park and she will not run away.
Lina likes the car and just being around you. She is very intelligent and if you play ball with her she will bring it back and drop it at your feet.
When you are out gardening Luna loves to follow and when you turn the hose on she can’t wait to have some hose play.
Luna on well with other dogs, not sure about cats, knowing her nature I’m sure she would be ok with them. She would love a family with older children over 7 who would not overwhelm her as she is quiet shy and may withdraw with too much happening.
Please let Luna come inside and be part of your family when she wants to. She also loves to be outside and at the moment prefers to sleep outside. There’s not much barking coming from this young girl, just an occasional whine when she’s unsure of what’s happening.
Luna is a delight to have around and will be missed terribly by our family but I will look forward to seeing her applications and finding her the best family of her dreams.
For more information or to meet Luna, please contact her foster carer Sue on suzigil@dodo.com.au or 0420207766. Luna is in foster care in Jewells, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Luna’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
