About Naya ~ Cattle Dog (on trial 23-3-2018)
Hi, my name is Naya, and I am a gorgeous 13 month old red/blue female Cattle Dog. I am a very fun loving, curious and happy girl. One of my favourite activities is playing with the ball and going to the park. I also love the water, whether it is the beach, the lake or the garden hose!
I am not a barker unless I am overexcited, however I am learning to settle down quickly. I know basic commands such as sit, stay and shake hands, and will come back when I am called. I walk well on the lead, and I am learning not to pull when I am excited. I am toilet trained and currently both indoor and outdoor, as I have mastered the doggy door.
Currently I live with my foster family who have a 9 month puppy. My foster sister and I have the greatest time together, sharing toys and playing in the backyard and I love to have a friend for company.
I would be suitable for an active family with a good sized, secure yard with high fencing. I have not had contact with cats, pocket pets or children in my foster home and so I would need an introduction. I am a quick learner and do not jump.
It is important that I am adopted by someone who has a good understanding of cattle and working dogs as I am very energetic and will need daily exercise and stimulation. I have never been left alone as I am always with my foster sister or a member of my foster family.
I love to snuggle up on the lounge or bed and I love to follow my foster family around the house to see what they are doing. I am a very loyal and loving girl and will thrive in a loving forever home.
If you think I would be a good match for your family, please contact my foster mum Louise on hathorlou@hotmail.com. I am in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and am available for adoption interstate.
Naya’s adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
