Aslan had taken shelter underneath a house after living on his own outdoors for some time. After gentle coaxing with food for a week or so he was captured and found to be a complete sweetheart!
Aslan was sent to the pound but nobody came to collect him. All the staff at the pound were shocked at his friendliness. Cat People of Melbourne bailed him out and have kept him fed, happy and safe.
Aslan will greet you enthusiastically, he chatters and chirps as if he is making conversation about your day. Once he has said hello he flops himself on the floor to watch as you go about your business, purring like a little tractor who is just happy to be in your company. He has cautiously met the other cats in his foster home and takes a quiet and friendly approach with them.

Aslan is wonderful with kids, including the very boisterous 3 year old boy with whom he currently lives. He sits close by and watches on with rapt attention during even the most noisy game of dinosaurs. During the quieter times he strides over for petting, headbutts and even rolls over for a belly rub!

After settling down for the evening in front of the TV Aslan quickly relocates himself to your lap giving the occasional nose bump of appreciation. I think he truly missed the company of humans while he was on his own and shows his gratitude easily in how much he enjoys being around everyone he meets. Aslan is just waiting for a human to love completely and will be the most faithful companion.

Almost one year old and handsomely ginger with gold eyes to match, Aslan has the silkiest coat you won't be able to resist petting. He grooms himself to perfection and will have a fabulous coat as he fills out and fattens up. He is FIV+ from being bitten while lost on the streets; no threat to humans, canines or other fully vaccinated cats. It does mean he has a compromised immune system and will require a balanced diet and an indoor life. All Cat People cats and kittens are indoor but this is crucial for Aslan. He is robust and thriving in his current environment.
