About Morpheus
**Available to be adopted from 17.02.2018**
My name is Morpheus and I am one of the puppies that makes up OTC's Matrix Litter. I am a Mastiff cross Staffy and I already have very big feet! I was surrendered into care with my litter after our owners decided it was best to have a rescue rehome us. Our owners were struggling to find good homes for us and being stuck with my siblings all the time, we started to fight and fight. These fights caused big wounds on our little bodies and some of us developed yucky infections. So OTC stepped up and took us all in.
Now that we are in care, we are all very healthy. We've been on a good diet of premium food and some of us with the worst wounds have had a course of antibiotics and now our sores are all healed up!
I am a great little guy that loves everyone. I love to follow my foster mum and dad every where but I am proud to say that i no longer sook if I am not near them. The dog I live with is my best friend. I like having other dogs around because they make me feel brave and safe. I also love having someone to play with. My favourite games are chasey and tug-o-war.
I am very food orientated so I am learning lots of tricks. I sit for my dinner every meal and I now listen when I am told to go to bed. I sleep inside with the other dogs but I will put myself to bed and not make a noise (or mess) all night.
You may see that my face is extra cute. I have a partial cleft that the vet has checked and has advised that may not need surgery or treatment - it just makes me way cuter. If there are any issues with my teeth, these will be corrected at time of desex if needed.
Included in my adoption fee: - Vaccinations kept up to date while in care - Worm/tick/flea treatments kept up to date while in care - Starter pack of food - Desexing - Microchip implant and chip changed into your name - A small donation to OTC which helps keep them running! Adoption fees help cover the database, sanitation, transport and advertising fees to they can rescue more dogs.
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
