Hazel

Small in stature but great in spirit, Hazel is a true "pocket rocket"! This young Moodle is looking for an active family with plenty of time for play and adventure.

Hazel arrived at the shelter a little worse for wear, with a very matted coat and feeling quite itchy. After a thorough pampering experience at our vet clinic, Hazel is now feeling fresh and ready to show off her new "furdo"! Hazel's ideal new family will dedicate time to grooming and bathing as her full coat grows back; keeping her looking good also keeps her feeling good. Hazel's humans will also need a gentle and patient approach to training. Though she has been learning to sit, and is a very food motivated girl, Hazel has a long way to go to build her confidence and her repertoire of tricks.

Since arriving at Kemps Creek Hazel has bonded well with the staff and volunteers, and is generally happy to greet new visitors and suss out what treats they have to offer. She would best suit a home with mature children who have some dog experience as little children might be a bit overwhelming for her. To help her feel welcome in her new home, Hazel would love to have inside time with the family; the backyard is certainly a fabulous place for exploring, but quality couch time with her new best friends will be equally important. A cosy spot inside will also be useful for stormy nights, which Hazel finds very frightening.
