About Milo the Miracle Dog
I have a meet and greet coming up with a potential adopter. Last year was the worst year of Milo's life but we're certain that 2018 is going to be the best.
We met Milo when he was fighting for life. He had severe tick paralysis and was in critical condition. Milo required a ventilator and thousands of dollars of emergency vet treatment to keep him alive and we were sure we were going to lose him. But this little fighter surprised us all and recovered from a state that we thought was impossible to live through.
We are so glad he lived as this little man is such a delightful, happy and playful dog. He is a beautiful companion and everyone who meets him just loves him.
Last year, Milo's owner passed away and her relatives took him in but were unable to afford to keep him. Our rescue group fundraised for the life-saving vet treatment he needed and found him a foster home where he has been able to recover.
Milo's teeth were very infected (they were loose and rotten and wobbly when the vet staff were incubating him for the ventilator) so after he recovered from his tick paralysis, he had a major dental surgery and is feeling much better now.
Milo loves to run and play. His carer has been working on obedience and recall because he can be a bit cheeky, but he's a totally joyous and fun-loving little guy who you just can't be mad at!
Milo enjoys doggy company and a playmate of similar size would be great for him. He loves a game, but after a busy day on the run, Milo is all about snuggles on the couch or in your lap.
He really is an all-round great little dog and he deserves a forever family who will love him just as much as his original owner did. We're sure she's looking down on him somewhere!
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heartworm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
