About Malu
Little Malu is a very sweet and cuddly little puppy. Her mum Chloe is just an adorable little dog who only weighs 8 kg, and Malu is the smallest of her 3 girls. At 6 weeks old she is not even 2 kg yet, so she is going to be very petite fully grown. Malu loves to run around and play with her littermates, but she also loves lap time and likes to have a snooze cuddled up to a nice human where she feels safe and protected. She is fully weaned from mum now and doing really well, growing in confidence every day.
Malu's mum came to us from a kind couple in a community in the APY lands in Northern South Australia. who had taken her in after her owner went into residential care. She was heavily pregnant when she arrived and delivered her pups on Xmas Eve in the middle of the bed while her foster carer was at work. Chloe has been a great mum and these puppies have had a very safe and protected start to life. Mum Chloe has already been adopted, and now it is time for her girls to make their way in the world.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Malu''s adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
Medical notes
Malu has an opaque patch from birth on the cornea her left eye, which looks like a blue patch. It does not cover the pupil and therefore does not affect her sight.
