About Frankie ~ Blue Cattle Dog (on trial 4/3/18)
Frankie is an 11 month old purebred Blue Cattle dog. He is a gorgeous young man with plenty of spunk. His foster mum says “Frankie, you’re so handsome you could go to Hollywood”.
Frankie is looking for an active family that need some extra love and company in their life. He is a gorgeous young man that loves to play ball and follow his foster dad around. He has all the qualities of a Blue Cattle dog and will need a family that want to spend time playing and loving him
Frankie comes when he is called, and will sit and shake hands and is learning to wait calmly for his meals. He is not a fence jumper or barker unless he is alerting you to something. Frankie will need some additional training and would love some agility or obedience classes. He is currently living with two other medium size cattle dogs and gets on well with them. Frankie walks well on a lead and would benefit from ongoing training. He is exceptionally smart and a very fast learner. Frankie travels well in the car.
Frankie would suit a family with older children who are confident with playful dogs, or active people who can take him on adventures. He would like lots of company and stimulation so if you are home a lot or have another dog to keep him busy, Frankie is the man for you. He has not been cat, chicken or pocket-pet tested as yet.
Frankie is toilet trained and currently sleeps inside. He would suit a fenced rural environment, but a fully fenced suburban yard would also be fine.
For more information or to meet Frankie, please email superweb@bigpond.com. Frankie is located in Maitland, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Frankie’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
