Hey hey everybody my name is Casper!
I came into care after i was abandoned at a rural pound and left to die. I was emaciated, covered in ringworm and suspected to be deaf. Upon closer inspection i'm not deaf, I just had extremely infected ears which made it hard to hear and i was very uncomfortable and sore, I scratched and scratched until i made myself bleed. I had sleepless nights due to discomfort.
Today...I'm fit healthy have put on weight, ears are on the mend and boy it feels good to hear again! my recall is fantastic and that whistle is so good to hear I come running, I have a shine in my coat and my tail hasn't stopped wagging! I'm a happy lad who just loves others, people, dogs and cats included...sometimes they can get a little scary when they are in a mood so i just run away and leave them be. I have very good manners and i now sit and wait for my breakfast and dinner. I'm a handsome, calm and mellow man who enjoys cuddles and affection.
OTC put their hand up to save me and I made the long trip up to Toowoomba and i am so glad they did, Iv never been happier!
look at my smile isn't it perfection?
No one knows exactly why I ended up at the pound but I sure didn't deserve to be there. I am only young and have a full life ahead of me.
I sleep outside and spend my days inside and outside. I am really good when I sleep don't make a peep all night or ever for that fact...not to sure what barking is to be honest.
Anyway, I am off to play with my foster kids because they are so much fun and they are just the right height to give the best bear hug cuddles and they are my favorite.
much love Casper xx
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
