About Roonie ~ Boxer x Staffy (on trial 15/2/2018)
Roonie is a beautiful 14 week old female Boxer X Staffordshire Terrier. This little girl has a lovely temperament, and thrives on affection, praise and lots of zoomies around the yard with her best friend Tilly (also available for adoption).
Roonie loves to play in the water, explore new sights and smells, play with her chew toys and sloth around on the couch or outside in the sun. She is one very happy puppy.
Roonie will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Roonie would really benefit from having the company of another puppy or playful dog to engage in play and use up some of her healthy energy. Alternatively someone who is active and adventurous would also keep Miss Roonie occupied.
Roonie loves the company of children, but can get a little over excited and will playfully jump up if left to her own devices. She comes in and out of the house as she pleases, but sleeps inside at night. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
We have been working on toilet training, but being a young puppy she needs practice and has had a few accidents. Miss Roonie is a lovable little lady, bursting with enthusiasm and very trainable.
As Roonie is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Roonie, please contact her foster carer Alina on 0497077160 or claudeshowie@hotmail.com. Roonie is in Newcastle area, NSW.
Roonie's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
