About Marley
Hi my name is Marley, am I not the cutest!!
To help not to waste anyone's time unlike Tinder I am going to tell you my warts and all story first, so you are not just getting suckered in by my good looks alone.
I was originally bought to be a service dog but unfortunately I didn't pass their strict medical requirements, my foster Mum says I would have been awesome as I am like a shadow! Anyway the reason for failing is that I have an overbite, this means my bottom jaw is shorter than my top jaw (one of my profile pics will show you this). Due to my underbite I am a bit of a messy drinker, my foster Mum has a bath mat under my water bowl and says it is not a big deal for her. She also said because of my underbite it is easier to get the ball back off me when playing fetch! It also takes me longer to chew a bone or a dentstix, apparently keeping me entertained longer is not a bad thing though.
Whilst in care with Paw Prints it has also been found that I have hip dysplasia. The vet said it is only mild and that I require no further treatment at this stage. Hip dysplasia is when the hip joints don't quite sit right and am more likely to develop arthritis in the hips over the years, but it is manageable.
I can go for short walks, run and play in the yard and swim, have I told you I am a water baby (swimming is great as it will help keep my muscles strong without weightbearing).
What I do need to avoid is walking up and down stairs, jumping on or off high surfaces, long walks, not exercising enough, eating too much and getting fat.
If you are still reading this then hopefully you are still keen to meet me yay!!
My foster Mum says that I have the most beautiful nature and have a pure heart. She says it is because despite everything that I have experienced and been dealt with in my really young life, I am the sweetest and most loving pup, who aims to please.
I am a typical loveable, boisterous lab. I have pretty good manners for such a young pup with only an occasional reminder needed.
I want to be a valued family member who is included in my family's daily life. I am toilet trained and will let you know if I need to go to the toilet if there is no doggy door. I currently sleep on my own bed in my foster parent's room at night. And because my foster parents want to minimise my jumping I am happy to lay on the cool tiles or my mattress to watch tv with them. I love playing and wrestling with my two big fur sisters and my little fur brother and have no interest in the 3 resident cats.
I think my ideal home will be with a family with older children or an older couple who lives in a lowset home or at least has ramps.
Could you be my perfect match, my happily ever after, my family for life? If you think so please contact Paw Prints Canine Rescue to organise a meet and greet 💕

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
