About Sting
Sting may not be world famous like his namesake but he’ll be the star of any home.
An affectionate, enthusiastic youngster, Sting is great fun to have around – he makes you smile with his curiousity and eagerness to discover new things and enjoys learning new things! While he hasn’t had a chance to learn any tricks yet, he is more than happy to follow directions and corrections – especially if there’s a chance of a food reward!
Sting’s favourite game in the world is playing ball – he’s even brought his own soccer ball for his stay with us! His second favourite thing is being given a pat. Sting is a very affectionate boy and hopes his new home will give him pats every day. He also enjoys meeting other dogs and does so nicely and without being pushy.
Since his previous owner has moved away, he is looking for a home which will provide him guidance while he grows up and discovers the joys of the big wide world. If you think this could be you, give us a call!
Adoption details
The adoption process at the Companion Animal Facility is relatively easy. We ask that if you are interested in a animal, please attend our facility in Goulburn to meet the animal and the Ranger team so that we can make sure that the animal is the right match for you. We do not take expressions of interest over the phone or via email.
Once you have decided on which future pet you would like to adopt from the facility, all that is required by you is to make a payment at the Companion Animal Facility by either cash, cheque or eftpos, provide details for the microchip and registration paperwork and then pick up your future pet from the Council veterinary service provider once they have been de-sexed and vaccinated (Council staff will advise you when the animal is booked in at the veterinary clinic. This usually falls within 14 days of the purchase).
The following are the re-homing fees for dogs and cats,
Entire Dog - $265.00
De-sexed Dog (de-sexed by previous owner) - $165.00
Entire Cat - $185.00
De-sexed Cat (de-sexed by previous owner) - $115.00
The following is included with all sales,
Microchipping (identification details will be placed on the NSW Companion Animal Register)
Lifetime Registration (within NSW)
Vaccination
Worm Treatment
Vet Check
De-sexing (if required)
Please Note: All dogs and cats rescued from the Companion Animal Facility are required to be de-sexed. Dogs and cats will not be sold as entire under any circumstances.

The Companion Animal Facility is open during the following hours if you would like to view the dog or cat in person,

Please Note: The Goulburn Mulwaree Council Companion Animal Facility is closed on Sundays and all public holidays.
