Chip

*TRIAL PENDING* If only all the dogs that came through were as well-behaved as chip. Chip is one seriously good boy. His house manners are impeccable, he is polite with other dogs and he is just the right amount of cuddly and playful.

Chip loves his ball! His precision in catching his treasured ball is a beauty to behold. When he has scampered after and efficiently captured his quarry he will return to you immediately and lay the ball at your feet with great expectation.

Chip has a happy and calm disposition with a great off-switch. Once he has had a game and his ball has been put away he will curl up on your lap or the couch and simply enjoy your company. I can guarantee that you will certainly enjoy his.

Chip walks off-lead well at the park but can have a delayed recall at times. He is such a smart boy that this would be easy to remedy with some tasty snacks as a reward. Alternatively you can just throw his ball and he will return to you every time!

When you make a fuss of Chip (and it’s hard not to with those beautiful big, brown eyes gazing at you) he will often wag his tail so hard his entire body joins in.

Although Chip has just turned nine, you would never know it. He is fit, active and sharp as a tack and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he doubled his current lifespan.

This boy is far too refined and dignified to be hassled by young/large dogs and would suit a home in which there is another small, calm dog or in which he is the central focus of his family.

At about 9 kilos in weight, Chip is on the larger side of small.
