About Diego
Diego is a 13 week old Great Dane cross puppy looking for the perfect home. He shows the looks, charm and traits of being possibly a staffy or bully breed cross, with the beautiful brindle coat, flippy ears and personality to match. Diego would suit a home with other animals, or as an only dog if his people were around alot. He is currently fostered with 2 large breed maremmas who he LOVES, he follows them around and loves a little rough and tumble play and puppy kisses.
Diego is very smart and alert; he is a quiet watcher. He is very friendly and intelligent, and has picked up many commands and training very quickly. He knows his name, sit, come, uh uh, no, outside, inside and is learning to walk on a lead. He follows the lead of the larger dogs he lives with, and is a ridiculously super easy puppy.
Diego is your typical introvert - he loves company, loves people, loves dogs, loves playtime, then he trots off and finds himself a snuggly place to sleep or chew toys and bones, and watch the world go by. He enjoys snuggles and LOVES belly rubs and is such a happy go lucky little (big!) fella! His favourite place is the beanbag... or curling up on the bed with foster mum for a 10minute morning cuddle (overnight he sleeps in the bathroom).
Diego is quiet and gentle, even when chewing on fingers he is super gentle! He does not nip or bite which would be perfect for children, and sticks to chewing on his own toys and doesnt steal things that arent his...except for the occasional thong... to be expected when they're left in the middle od the floor 😂. He shows no destructive tendencies at all, he's a gentle little soul!
Whilst adorably cute, please keep in mind Diego is growing quite quickly and will be a LARGE boy.
His ultimate home would be with someone with experience or familiar with large breed dogs, or a home very committed to training and showing understanding of the food cost and requirements of owning a large breed dog. He would suit a home with younger or older children, keeping in mind her size and the training he will require with smaller children.
He will not need a huge backyard but somewhere for him to run his little puppy legs around would be ideal.

Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
