About Max
Though his round frame may seem intimidating, when you meet his gentle gaze you will see that Max is really a loving teddy bear! Reaching his middle years, Max is looking for a kind and calm home where he can play, explore, and interact at his own pace.
In his past life, Max spent many hours outdoors without his human pals, so he is hoping that his next (and forever) family will invite him inside for quality bonding time. As you can see, Max isn't up for the challenge of a marathon or early morning bootcamp right now, and he will need a companion who understands the need to slowly build his fitness and help him regain a healthy figure. A daily walk around the neighbourhood will be sufficient, and a nice way to introduce him to his new surroundings (so many new sights and smells!) Of course, Max may not have the most active body at present, but he certainly has a keen mind, so providing activities to occupy his clever brain will be a must. Puzzle feeders and backyard games involving exciting scents (ask our staff about the "box game") will be a great start. Max would also love the opportunity to learn some new tricks, which should be easy to teach given his motivation for food!
If you think you can provide a relaxing and loving home for a tender and sociable pooch, we would love for you to meet our Max!
All AWL animals are desexed, microchipped, health checked, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated.
