I’m Karia. I’m a very energetic, loving girl. I am very human oriented. I don’t like being confined in the puppy enclosure where we sleep, at all. I want to be out near my foster family and in the middle of all the fun. I’ll jump up for attention and if you ignore me, I’ll lean on you. I’m here! I’m here! And when I’m tired out, it’s time for cuddles.
So I’m wanting to live in a home where the people match my energy and where we go out for exercise twice a day. I’m an only pet kind of gal as I’m quite a smart, dominant pup. I play roughly too. Sometimes my carers need to intervene as I can get a bit nippy with excitement. So you’ll need to teach me good manners. I want to be able to go anywhere with you. I really love children. With my personality, older children would be best - old enough to be consistent with teaching me.
Wanna know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I’d like daily training so that I learn and practice the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it; and so I always obey what you tell me to do. Consistent, clear boundaries will mean that I always know the right way to behave. And of course, socializing with lots of people, dogs and other animals is important too. Getting out and about to exercise at least twice a day is vital for me as it stimulates my brain and body, creates opportunities for me to socialise and it tires me out. It will stop me from creating mischief at home!!!! That’s after I’ve been fully vaccinated and the vaccine has had the required time afterwards to take effect, of course!
I have an umbilical hernia. They’re very common and the vet said it needs checking again when I have my desex. If it’s still there, they would fix it at the same time as my desex.
A few hours flying is absolutely worth it for remotely located animals if it means we have the opportunity to be adopted. My airfare to Perth is $150 thanks to QANTAS, and I can fly elsewhere in Australia too.
