I’m Kala. I’m friendly, cuddly and energetic. I’m very clever, too. I can climb up and out of the puppy enclosure where my foster family puts us for our rest time and to give the household a break - ha ha! I like to be where the humans are and I’ll follow them around all the time. I know that if I hang around them enough, they’ll play with me and give me cuddles! I’m a super cuddler. I like playing a lot with the other puppies and the bigger dogs too. I really love those big dogs. I want to be like them one day.

Nibbling on toes is fun, although I’m told it’s a bad habit. My foster carers are trying to distract me with chew toys when I do it. I will bark really loudly for attention if they are patting one of the other puppies, so I’d probably be happiest being an only pet - no competition for me, thank you very much. I’m quite a dominant type pup, so with the right sort of upbringing, I’ll make an outstanding pet.

Wanna know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I’d like daily training so that I learn and practice the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it; and so I always obey what you tell me to do. Consistent, clear boundaries will mean that I always know the right way to behave. And of course, socializing with lots of people, dogs and other animals is important too. Getting out and about to exercise at least twice a day is vital for me as it stimulates my brain and body, creates opportunities for me to socialise and it tires me out. It will stop me from creating mischief at home!!!! That’s after I’ve been fully vaccinated and the vaccine has had the required time afterwards to take effect, of course!

A few hours flying is absolutely worth it for remotely located animals if it means we have the opportunity to be adopted. My airfare to Perth is $150 thanks to QANTAS, and I can fly elsewhere in Australia too.
