About Puck
Puck is 2 and half years old now and is a whopping 7kilo cat - most of that is just from being a big fella, and though there is a definitely a cushiony layer of jiggle too he is active, strong and healthy and loves to play. For some reason (possibly because there is no room inside for anything bigger) he has the most absurdly tiny squeak of a meow.
Even after 2 and half years with us Puck is a shy boy always worried he is not doing the right thing, so he needs a quiet home without too many people coming and going (even after all the social distancing is over and done with), and he needs someone who is prepared to be patient, let him take his own time to settle in and who can build up his confidence with positive play and attention.
He was adopted once and returned for being too shy, so I am really hammering this point home - he is not going to be a cat that you can expect to come up to people and start rubbing on them, or to be able to just pick him up and hand him around. He is unlikely to be suitable for children.
Once he does trust you he is a delightful enormous chonker with a lot of love to give, but it is going to take time. Probably a couple of months. Once he trusts you he loves to sleep on the bed wth his human, cuddle on the couch giving vigorous headbutts to any idle hands that could be petter employed at scratching, and giving treadle massages with his full weight. You can even rub that big furry belly.
Puck needs to be indoors only, or have a fully enclosed outdoor area as he has no road sense whatsoever, and being so nervous of strangers could easily be spooked into running headlong into a dangerous situation. He does need some exercise so a good play with a teaser wand like 'Da Bird' will keep him happy and healthy.
Puck has always lived in a house full of cats and kittens, and I think he would be happiest in a home where he is not left alone for long periods without a human or cat for company. He gets along very very well with cats of all ages, size and sex. He uses his litter box, eats many dry foods very happily and is a very special boy for the right person.
Puck is in care in Watsonia
Medical notes
Puck is happy and healthy and comes to you desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and wormed
