About Miss Beryl & Mr Beagle
Introducing Mr Beagle and Miss Beryl available for adoption through BTC Animal Shelter Inc.
Both are Beagles and Miss Beryl is 7 years and Mr Beagle is 3 years.
They are a bonded pair so will be adopted as such. Please do not send us messages asking us to seperate them as we will not consider this request at all.
Both are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated.
Miss Cheryl requires cruciate ligament surgery on one of her back legs in a couple of weeks time so we will be looking for a family that can appropriately care for her when this is done. The adoption fee will include the shelter covering the surgery's cost and we will support her and her family in her recovery process completely. Mr Beagle likes to dig so he requires being inside and when outside on a paved, securely fenced area. Mr Beagle likes to dig under fences (this maybe due to his previous life and trying to get out of where he was confined). However once he realises he now has freedom this behaviour may subside.
Mr Beagle and Beryl came from a puppy farm whereby Mr Beagle would have been used as a stud dog and Beryl a breeding bitch. This was a horrid life that they lived.
Both of the beagles are good with other dogs and cats. They are only just becoming familiar with human contact. They have lead an extremely sheltered life to date. They have experienced little human contact and do not know what love is. They have not been for rides in the car. They have only just become familiar with collars however do not know what walking on lead is all about. They do not understand playing either. They are both currently in an incredible foster situation and are just starting to come to their carer for pats. They are timid and the whole world is a new place for them to discover slowly. We will be looking for a very special home for this pair so please only show interest if you feel you can meet their needs. Thank you. Their adoption fee is $700.
