About Todd
Todd is a 4 and a half year old black miniature poodle. He is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle and snuggle. Todd is child friendly, and we believe to be fine with cats. Todd is enjoying spending time with the other small dogs at his foster carers house, and likes to run and play in the backyard.
Todd has some anxiety issues that are common with his breed. With that in mind, leaving Todd alone for long periods of time is not recommended at this stage. We are working with him to help ease his anxiety and believe that having other pets to keep him company is currently helping to ease the severity of his anxiety. Todd is very much an indoors dog. He has been thoroughly spoilt and loved. Todd sleeps by your feet, under the blanket on the bed. He likes to make a bit of noise and jumps when he perceives you to be leaving the house and coming home, not uncommon with dogs, but in Todd's case it is a sign of his anxiety and something we are working on with him. Todd was previously known to become destructive to his physical environment when extremely stressed and cause damage to doors and windows, this behaviour has ceased since coming into care and having easy access to both indoors and outdoors when left alone (with multiple other dogs for company) for short periods of time. As it is a learned behaviour, any new home for Todd will need to continue his Separation Anxiety Care Plan to ensure both Todd's well being and the safety of property.
With human company Todd is a bit shy at first and hesitant towards getting attention from strangers, but he behaves well and is accepting of attention when he is either 'safely' in your arms or familiar with the persons. Todd has always been around young children and is very friendly with them.
Todd would make a wonderful companion for a family or person who is able to spend as much time with him as possible and take him out on outings with them, he wears his harness nicely and walks very well on lead. At this stage we are seeking someone experienced and confident in dealing with separation anxiety.
Todd's adoption fee is $450. This includes his desexing, microchip and up to date vaccinations, flea and worming treatments. If you would like to further discuss Todd's needs and suitability, please contact us! Wet Noses Animal Rescue

In some cases more than one meeting may be required.
We also conduct a home check to make sure that things like fencing are suitable for the pet, and provide advice on helping the new pet settle in.
