About Shadow ~ kelpie x, only 4 months old
Shadow: 4 month old Kelpie x. Who could resist that gorgeous face?
Shadow is a stunning little girl with a lovely nature. After a bit of a rough start to life and looking younger than her four months due to being malnourished, Shadow is working to reach her ideal weight. She is one little girl who could do with some TLC.
Being very clever and responsive, Shadow is going to be quite easy to train. She already knows her name and the word, ‘Come’ and is learning to sit. Toilet training is a work in progress; however, she is learning to go to the door when she needs to, especially first thing in the morning.
Shadow gets along very well with her canine foster sister and her young human siblings who she loves very much and has already started being very protective of. Shadow and her eight siblings were surrendered by their owners, through no fault of their own. Most of Shadow’s siblings were adopted before her, so she is still a very unsure and scared little girl. She gets along with other dogs, but cats, rabbits and other small animals are an unknown.
With her smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brushing, Shadow is very low maintenance. Shadow would be happy as an only dog given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other dogs in the home.
If you feel you can provide this deserving dog a loving, permanent home, please contact Nora on 0418 402 150 or email dogrescuemudgee@gmail.com. Shadow is in foster care in Mudgee, NSW.
Recently surrendered to Dog Rescue Mudgee from the pound, Shadow is looking for a permanent home.
When she is old enough, Shadow will be de-sexed. She is vaccinated, free of fleas and worms and microchipped. Her adoption fee will be equal to the costs incurred by DRM for all her medical work and is $350.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
