About Taurus ~ Border Collie (on trial 15/2/2018)
Taurus is a very handsome male purebred Border Collie who is 7 years old.
Due to no fault of his own, he has found himself in care and is looking for a loving family to adopt him.
Taurus is a very well trained dog and knows many commands. He is exceptionally smart and his foster mum already taught him how to sit and lay.
Taurus is a loyal dog and would make an excellent addition to any family. He is great with children. Taurus loves staying chasing balls, playing with his toys and laying on the verandah watching the birds. He loves getting pats and scratches and enjoys the company of people.
Taurus currently sleeps inside as he likes to be close by his people so would need to be allowed inside with the family when at home and to also sleep inside. He enjoys a good long walk and a play in the yard.
Taurus is a large dog and is dog friendly. He would enjoy having a doggy companion but would need one who is energetic and around his size. He would be fine as an only dog but would prefer if someone was home some of the time for company.
If you would like to meet this beautiful boy, please contact Sharron on sstudley3@bigpond.com who is taking all enquiries for him. He is currently located with his carer Margaret at Swansea and is available for adoption interstate.
Taurus’ adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
