About Ori aka Oralee
Ori aka Oralee was a member of the end of 2016 O-Team, which was a litter of puppies a farmer was about to dispose of, they are kelpie cross. Someone rescued them and bought them to Happy Paws to be saved in November 2016. There were six of these beautiful puppies full of naughtiness and mischief. There are three girls and three boys, all are Tri coloured predominantly black and tan, of which Ori or Oralee was just one. They are well socialised with other dogs and with everyone who visited Happy Paws. All found homes very quickly including Oralee. The owner came to us the other day, his circumstances have changed and he is not able to spend as much time with her anymore mainly due to work commitments. She is getting bored and starting to be naughty and he does not want her to get into trouble. She is a lovely smart dog and needs mental stimulation, something to do, dog obedience, agility or something similar. She is a loving dog and wants to please, great on a lead, gets on with other dogs, fascinated by cats and loves being with people. She has been microchipped, immunised and desexed and is update with parasite control.
Adoption details
HappyPaws Haven is fussy about who adopts these animals and where they are housed and cared for. The adoption criteria is documented as a questionnaire and strictly adhered to. We do not adopt animals to people who rent unless they are long term rental at the same address and have landlords written permission.
We ask if they have thought about the attributes they want in a dog, lifestyle, childrens ages, prepared to train, etc. We also talk about responsible pet ownership, fully fenced yards, hours unattended etc. and finally a vet reference.
