About Koda
Meet Koda, “The Golden Shepherd”!
Koda is about 5 years old and the most loving and adorable German Shepherd we’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Before being rescued by Lucky Paws, Koda has had a tough life, but now his personality is shining through and it’s clear he’ll become a very special member to his new loving family.
Koda has a very chilled out demeanour all the time and is great around other dogs on & off the leash. He is very friendly and gentle around people, children and, so far, cats. Back in the house, he is most happy in whichever room you’re currently occupying and very much enjoys his cuddles and belly rubs!
Koda loves his long walks and is happy to get his paws wet in the creek on those hot days. He’s also fine in the car down to the dog beach, where he can enjoy the water and is quickly learning to swim. But in all fairness, Koda would probably follow you anywhere just to be with you.
By nature he is a quiet dog, we’ve not heard Koda bark or howl once in the six weeks or so we have been fostering him, though he does have an interesting and amusing vocal range when he’s playing or “needs” to go outside. Also, as an intelligent dog he learns quickly what you expect of him and is very obedient.
Being a large breed dog, Koda would best suit a house with enough space where he’s less likely to get under your feet. He would also like a decent garden or some outdoor space with some shade as he does like to chill outside on our deck during cooler days and in the evening.
In summary, Koda is a wonderful companion, he is a low maintenance, loyal, loving, happy boy who’s had a bad start to life and wants a family to call his own.
Medical notes

Koda has/will have the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed
~ C5 Vaccinated
~ Microchipped
~ Heartworm Tested
~ Heartworm Treated

~ Flea Treated
Adoption details
Adoption Process for adopting a Lucky Paws Dog Rescue pet.
An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 3 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW
