About Asha
Single dog home.
No cats.
Hi my name is Asha. I’m a very cute little girl who sadly needs a new home.
My DOB is 21/10/2010. I'm house trained and have been taught some basic obedience but I don't know sit as I was a show dog. If you say 'hop in' I will get into the car, 'stay' I stop, 'here' is for recall, 'tucker' is for my food, 'foops' is when you want to tell me to do poo's and 'woozer' is when you want me to do wee's :)
I'm quite good on the lead seeing as I used to be a show girl.
Below are some very positive note's on my behavioural assessment, it shows what a good girl I am.
1. Affiliation – engagement and general activity level
Tester neutral standing: Easily excitable, mid-high energy levels, inquisitive of surrounds but did
acknowledge tester in area considerably.
Tester neutral sitting: Fast approach, jumping up and becomes very excitable and initiates contact
and interaction
Result: Sociable, excitable.
2. Obedience skills
Dog knows sit? Somewhat
Dog knows Drop (Down)? No
Other: Responds to name, has lots of handler focus when out on a walk (very desirable trait in the dog training world) and walks well on lead.
Summary of Test –summary of observation and testing
• Asha has mid-high energy levels and can become a little over-excitable and jumps up a little when aroused
• She is a very sociable girl who seeks contact and interaction with humans unprompted
• Good nerves indicated by nil reaction to any noises, sounds and other environmental stimuli
• Nil obedience but is relatively biddable around distractions
• Has lots of handler focus which is a very desirable trait in the dog training world. Shame it was not developed and worked on more
• Walks well on the lead
• Is tolerant of touch and restraint
• Nil food bowl guarding evident
• Nil aggression/reactivity evident at time of testing
Adoption Criteria
• Active families – older children due to excitability levels
• Not tested with cats or other small animals
• Single dog household as she has a history of being a little overly dominant over the other household dog.
