I’m Ike. :) I’m quiet natured for a puppy and sooooooo cute. I have a half stub tail, like some of my siblings. I love cuddles, toys and playing with my brothers and sisters. My carer says I would suit all types of families!

It’s possible I could have problems with my hips. I had some pain in them, so I’ve had my hips x-rayed and the x-rays examined by a specialist at Murdoch Uni who said there’s nothing to worry about, but to keep an eye on me. And I’ll have another x-ray when it’s time for me to be desexed. You can talk more about this with SAFE.

I might grow to be on the larger size of medium - mum’s a medium mixed breed and dad’s large. It’s always hard to be sure with rescue pups - but if you teach me things the right way, I’ll be a really good dog.

Wanna know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I’d like daily training so that I learn and practice the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it; and so I always obey what you tell me to do. Consistent, clear boundaries will mean that I always know the right way to behave. And of course, socializing with lots of people, dogs and other animals is important too. Getting out and about to exercise at least once a day is vital for me as it stimulates my brain and body, creates opportunities for me to socialise and it tires me out. It will stops me from creating mischief at home!!!! That’s after I’ve been fully vaccinated and the vaccine has had the required time afterwards to take effect, of course!

A few hours flying is absolutely worth it for remotely located animals if it means we have the opportunity to be adopted. My airfare to Perth is $150 thanks to SAFE and QANTAS, and I can fly elsewhere in Australia too.
