Hello, I'm Jewel! I came into the shelter because my old home wasn't suitable for me, and I wasn't happy there. I was quite overwhelmed with the big move to the shelter, but I have now settled enough for the staff to get to know me! I am very affectionate and happy to interact with people when it is one on one. I find crowds and new places a bit scary. For this reason, my new family should not be disheartened if I take a while to become comfortable in my new home. I am searching for a home without young children or other animals, as this was the reason I wasn't happy in my previous home. A nice, mature household is exactly what I'm after!
