About Sweetie
Sweetie found herself needing a rescue after she was dumped in the overnight cage at a pound on Christmas Day at the age of 8. Poor Sweetie didn’t know what she did to deserve it because she thought she has always been the most gentle, loving and loyal dog she can possibly be. She soon became a favourite at the pound due to her sweet nature and then rescued by Tiki rescue.
Sweetie gets along well with other dogs regardless of the size, is very affectionate to humans and is just a generally happy go lucky dog who can sleep outside/inside all day long or play ball with her humans.
She hasn't met any cats or pocket pets so we can't really say what she would do in a home with these
Sweetie needs a home where she is loved and is considered as a member of a family. She needs to be allowed inside and be able to spend quality time with her humans playing, walking and going to the beach. She will need a home where she is allowed to sleep inside at night, and we would prefer a home that wants her to be more inside based due to her older age. BUT, a home where she is both indoors and outdoors is suitable also.
She can me the only kid or share the love with another doggie or two. She isn't looking for much. A walk a day. A cuddle. A little play. Really this beautiful older girl is just looking for a lifelong of love.
Sweetie is also suitable to a home with full time workers, she isn't too fussed whether she has to spend a little bit of time with herself.
Due to her older age, we would say kid savvy dogs are essential. As she may have some sore and tender body parts that a young child could hurt. Sweetie is very gentle though so a home with kids could be suitable.
Sweetie is located in the Cessnock area and her adoption fee is $350.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
