About Hotdog (CaV17-216) and Hamburger (CaV17-217)
There's a saying that goes "there's only one best dog in the world, and every family has him." Of course, we are biased towards our own fur family or those that we know well. But in all honesty, these two are THE best kittens in the world. No competition.
These delectable little snack-sized cats have been in foster care practically from birth - they were born on an industrial site where there are lots of stray cats because there's a pet food factory across the road. Lots of kittens have been killed by machinery, so when this lot were born some of the staff thought it would be best to save them straight away.
Growing up without your real mum is pretty hard work. Hotdog and Hamburger had two brothers in the beginning, who sadly did not survive. It was a hard slog for these guys and we are so proud to have been part of the journey to get them this far.
Because they were hand raised from around 24 hours, they are ridiculously social with people. They came everywhere with us in the beginning so they're great in the car and LOVE meeting new people. Every stranger is just a friend they haven't met! They purr basically non-stop - when they're sleeping, eating, playing, cuddling - they're purring too. Hamburger pretty much deafens you with his little rumbling engine.
They are amazing with other animals as they've grown up around lots of cats and dogs. They will be fine with children or adults of any age.
They're litter trained and very neat and tidy. They will use a scratchy pole if one is provided and they love toys of every sort - balls and strings and scrunchy things.
Hotdog and Hamburger love cuddles. They will seek you out to spend time with you - in your lap, beside you in your chair, in bed if you'll let them. They are adventurous and inquisitive and have amazing climbing skills - Hotdog has been climbing up tall things since she was weeny! King size-ensemble bed? No worries. She's like spiderman - just jumps at the side, grips on and scales it to the top.
No words of pictures can adequately explain the wonder of these two precious beings. They will truly flood your home with joy and magic.
Any home will suit Hotdog and Hamburger - kids or none, other pets or none, work full time or stay at home. They'll be happy anywhere they're being loved. We have just two requirements:
- they must stay together
- they must go to an indoor-only home.
Everything else is up to you!
If you would like to meet them and see for yourself what we're talking about, please do!! They're currently located in Northam but like we said, they cope well in the car and can be brought closer for a meet.
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
