About Hume
Introducing a very special dog – Hume!
This boy is a one of a kind. He has such a sweet and soft personality and loves to get pats and cuddles from his people. Hume returns the love with a little lick too and gets a look of complete contentment on his gorgeous face. He’s had a real journey this little dude but nothing gets him down or can stand in his way of enjoying life. Whether its walkies, playtime, training, a trip in the car – you name it he is up for it. Hume will go and do whatever you want and make it more fun to do it.
He’s super friendly with everyone and everything. He greets everyone happily, confidently and with a friendly waggy tail – sometimes he’s so happy to see you he stands up with his paws against you so he has more chance to reach you and give out the kisses. Hume is great at the dog park and he loves to play with other dogs. Chasing games are definitely his favourite and he loves to try and keep up with the big dogs. He also enjoys a good wrestle with his friends. Hume needs to get doggy socialisation time in his life so will require play dates with friends and trips to dog parks or beaches to keep him happy. He is a relatively active dog so daily exercise is also required.
Training is great with this dog. He’s smart, food driven and willing to please. Hume has attended group training classes and can sit, drop (lie down), stay, come and is learning stand. There is not much more to do with him except practice to make it perfect! He has good recall at the off-lead park a lot of the time but he never strays too far anyway. One thing that could be improved is his walking on lead as he can get a bit excited, though he is not too strong as he’s only around 13kg in weight. Hume also knows how to go to his bed and sleeps on his bed besides his carer all night long. He is toilet trained and crate trained as well, and he travels well in the car.
We are looking for a dog experienced and loving home for this special boy. He must be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. Another friendly and playful dog at home is a must for Hume, and the more time someone is around the better to give him all the love that he deserves. He should be allowed to come inside to be with the family and needs a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. Hume has been exposed to some other pets, including a cat and birds, and is good with them. He has met children and is friendly but is probably better suited to older children or a mature household.
All in all Hume is loved by all and you will love him too. If you would like to make this gorgeous body a part of your family then let us know by filling in an adoption enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
