Can she get any cuter?!

Meet Imke - she is the definition of cute and adorable. Just to make it the full package, Imke has a very loving and gentle personality, and is a very loyal companion. She loves to get pats and just be right beside you. Are you going to the next room? Imke will come too and be like your shadow. She has a very waggy tail to greet you with when you come home and patiently waits for you when you’re out. Get the toys ready for a game as she loves to play and enjoys chasing the ball. She will even have little games by herself and can sometimes be caught doing little zoomies around the yard. You just can’t help but fall in love with this girl.

This little girl loves other dogs and enjoys her trips to the dog park for playtime. She mostly comes when she is called so is good off lead and wonderful on lead. Imke hasn’t had a lot of training but can sit and is easy to handle. She would respond well to some positive reinforcement based training if you wanted to teach her some more things. In the house she is well mannered and toilet trained, taking herself outside by herself. She sleeps right through the night and knows to stay on her bed or sleep in her crate.

Imke is timid with strangers. She bonds strongly to her owner and can be wary of other people. If she’s out and about at the dog park though she’s happy to go up to other people, so in time it is anticipated that she will continue to improve in her confidence and be more forward with new people. Imke’s confidence definitely picks up in the presence of other dogs. Consequently, she would definitely benefit from having a confident and friendly dog in the household to show her how it’s done.

We are looking for a quiet home for Imke where she will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. She needs a home with another friendly dog to help her build her confidence, and it would be ideal if someone is home more often than not to give her the attention that she enjoys. Imke should be allowed inside to be with the family and will require a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. She will not want a home with small or loud children, so a mature and quieter home is sought. She has spent time with a cat and was happy to leave him alone.
