About Beef ~ Staffy X (on trial 4/2/2018)
Meet Beef, aka Beefcake! If you are looking for a chilled out and super cuddly pup, this is your boy. We think Beef is around 1 year old. He is housetrained and learning his basic commands such as ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’.
Beef is such a breeze to take for a daily walk (if not two) on his harness, and while he isn’t too keen to get into the car to go for a drive, he travels really well and is very well behaved.
Beef isn’t a barker, digger or escape artist, and he is great with kids of all ages as he came from a home with several young ones. He would definitely be more suited to a family with another dog to have as company, especially if his humans have full time jobs.
Beef hasn’t shown much interest in going in the water yet, but I don’t think it’s off the table - maybe just a slow introduction would be best.
He is fine when it comes to his food bowl and his foster mum helping move it around while he has to wear his cone after being desexed, but can be a bit protective of his bones with other dogs.
Beef is a little jumpy with loud noises, like big trucks when he’s out walking, but a pat or a cuddle from his humans and he is quickly comforted.
For more information or to meet this little love bug, please contact his foster mum, Jessica at jesmem8@gmail.com. Beef is in foster care in Whitebridge, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Beef’s adoption fee is $450, and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
