About Tommy ~ Kelpie X puppy (on trial 13/2/2018)
Who needs three courses when all you need is one .... me! I am pretty darn cute and only 5 weeks old at the moment. I will be available for adoption in a few weeks after my microchip and vaccination.
I am a Kelpie mix and have loads of puppy love to give. I like to chew toys and chase balls but they are too big for me at the moment. I love to snuggle into the warmth of my human fosterkids. My temperament and behaviour will be shaped by how you raise and train me.
I'm a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. I haven't had the chance to meet a lot of furfriends as I'm still too little but my foster mum says when I'm a little older I'm going to love it! I would really love to have another dog and/or kids to play with as I am going to be so playful !
Tommy will grow up to be a medium sized dog. He will be intelligent, eager, alert, energetic, friendly and loyal.
He would love a family that likes a good trip to the beach or to a park and would love to be included in your family life
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Tommy. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Tommy needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps.
As Tommy is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
Please show your interest by completing the adoption questionnaire www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx and sending to adoptmefromkelly@hotmail.com. Tommy is in foster care in Blue Haven, NSW.
Tommy’s adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy puppy.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
