About Edward Bear
Edward is just the cutest little guy. He is super happy and enthusiastic about life and people and wants to be in the middle of whatever is going on. Snuggles! Dinner! Exploring! Rough-n-tumble! Edward is very playful, comical and loving, and he would thrive in an family with a tribe of kids to run around after and regular excursions he could be part of. He is a vigorous and confident puppy, but tuned in and eager to please. He also Knows. How. To. Chillax! Edward has been raised up to 8 weeks with his wonderful mum and is now in foster care with his litter-mates awaiting re-homing. He is doing brilliantly with crate and house training and will benefit from ongoing training in an active environment.
Edward was born in Ali Curung under the schoolhouse. Ali Curung is dog dreaming country and we think that makes these youngsters pretty special. Mum Bluebelle is a delightful dog who didn't belong to anyone but the school teachers looked after her, and she in turn looked after her pups. She was an amazing mum - just so caring and devoted, and she gave these pups a terrific start. The whole family came to us when they were 3 weeks old. Bluebelle was with them until they were fully weaned at 8 weeks old. Now they are in a nice safe domestic environment being taught some basic lessons like house training and crate training. Edward sleeps in his crate, and often goes in there for a rest by himself. They are also with older dogs and honing their doggy manners nicely. Edward is doing really well and is more than ready for some individualised socialisation and training and to go out into the world and find his forever home.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Edward's dadoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide.
