About Barney ~ Beagle x Cavalier (on trial 29-1-2018)
Barney is a gorgeous 4 ½ year old Beagle x King Charles Cavalier, with a heart full of love and a happy little personality.
Barney absolutely adores people and the company of humans, and frets if he is left on his own. For this reason, Barney needs to go to a family with at least one person home most of the time. Barney gets on really well with other friendly dogs and cats, and would benefit from having a canine brother or sister to be with him when he has to be left alone. He is on medication for his stress, and will need to continue on this.
Barney is house trained, and spends his time following his humans around the house. He loves food, walks, cuddles and attention. He will happily sit on the sofa with you watching TV, or help you outside with the gardening. Since coming into care, his foster family have been working on his food manners which is going well so far.
Barney is not a nuisance barker, digger or jumper.
For more information or to meet Barney, please contact his foster carer Lucy on lucybullent1@gmail.com. Barney is in foster care in East Maitland, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Barney’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
