About Luna
Luna came into our shelter very matted all over and was fully shaved more than 3 months ago and is still waiting for a forever home.
He is such a quiet and reserved boy who is looking for a very relaxed and quiet home to enjoy. Currently spending time with another dog in foster care so he will go well with an existing dog too.
Luna is currently in short-term foster care to give him a relief from the shelter.
LUNA UPDATE 15.3.18
Luna’s story (written by current foster carer)
Hi, my name is Luna. I’m a four year old desexed male, who is desperately looking for a full time loving home. I have been at the Ballarat Shelter since September 2017. When I arrived to the Shelter, my fur was very badly mattered to the skin and had to be shaved.
Now my fur has finally started to grow back. Thanks to the Shelter who allowed me to stay with a wonderful foster family. With their patience and love, I had finally learned to be myself again. I think I am looking pretty good now and it is time for me to find a full time home. I sit and look out my foster family window daily hoping the perfect family will come soon. Could that be you?
I’m looking for a family who will be patient with me because I’m might be a little shy and scared a the beginning. If you can give me time, I will give you loving smooches against your leg, I will talk to you (especially when you are serving up my food), I will drop to the floor and look very cute, so cute in fact that you won’t resist scratching my belly (I might demand it). I get along with my foster family’s dog. I won’t let the dog eat my food but he allows me to drink from his dog bowl. It’s a win win for me!
Hope to meet you soon.
