About Petal
Dogs don't come much nicer than Petal. She's so lovely that every one who meets her wants to adopt her. Sweet and friendly, Petal is a joy to be around.
Petal lives in foster care with two other dogs. Whilst she gets along with them fine (afterall, she gets along with everyone!) however she isn't too interested in playing with them or roughousing. A companion dog might be nice for Petal but it isnt a necessity.
Petal is a cancer survivor, we feared she might be palliative care when she first came to us, however scans have confirmed her tumours have been completely removed and our hope is that they won't return.
Petals carer says the ideal home for her is one where she can have lots of company and be spoilt rotten, just like she deserves after such a hard life. A quiet home would suit her nicely.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
Petal had mammary cancer when she was rescued. Her tumours have been removed and scans have cleared her of cancer. There is a chance that cancer could return but we are hopeful this won't be the case.
Petal has low grade luxating patellas and our surgeon has not deemed her as requiring surgery which is such a relief. She gets regular medicated baths as her skin was infected when she was rescued and she is looking much better. Her coat is growing back and she's much happier and healthier than ever before.
