About Gretel ~ Great Dane x puppy (on trial 4/2/2018)
Gretel is a gorgeous 3 month old Great Dane cross puppy. She is so goofy and playful and absolutely loves cuddles.
Her adorable giant paws show she will be a large dog. She has a super cute unique look with long lanky legs and a sleek coat.
Gretel has lots of energy and will need a good walk every day. As a very playful puppy she will need some training before she can be friends with small children as her eagerness for affection means she likes to jump up to kiss and cuddle you. She would love to find a family who wants to include her in all aspects of their lives, from weekend outings to cuddles on the couch. She would be happy as an only dog as long as she is given plenty of attention by her humans, or would be equally happy to live with a doggy pal.
Gretel needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Gretel is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Gretel, please contact Sue on 0419 634 957 or suemasens65@hotmail.com. Gretel is in foster care in Belmont South, NSW.
Gretel’s adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
