Xavier is a gorgeous, lean and muscular 2 year old greyhound boy, who is looking for a new family to love him. Shy at first, once you prove he can trust you, his sweet personality blossoms. Just try not to fall in love when he looks up at you with his large gooey eyes. Xavier is a quiet boy who loves to be around his hoomans, so a family who works from home, or a bring-your-dog-to-work set up would be perfect. Once he checks on where you are, he is happy to settle down in his bed and sleep. He hasn’t show any signs of separation anxiety, when there are other dogs in the house.

He enjoys spending time with his foster sisters, and is very submissive and gentle with other dogs. However, small fluffy dogs are strange aliens whom give Xavier a scare on walks, so he would be better suited with another larger dog. When Xavier gets excited, he can jump up and often tries to hold your hand in his mouth, which we are discouraging. He is always gentle, but doesn’t realise his size and could be a bit big for small children. He is excellent walking on lead (with a martingale collar or harness), and is gentle enough for a 10 year old to handle.

Xavier shows signs of previous mistreatment in his past life, so he often thinks he is doing the wrong thing and is easily startled. He is just starting to play with squeaky toys, and with love and encouragement he will learn playtime is great fun! He loves cuddle time with his foster hoomans, but is also content to sleep in his bed in your bedroom. But if you want a bed buddy, Xavier is happy to volunteer!

Xavier is unable to sit (many greyhounds can’t sit), and is still to learn basic commands, but he is completely toilet trained. He will learn more skills with his love of food treats. He is a beautiful boy who will be snatched up by the right forever home quickly!
