ABOUT

Kimba is a gorgeous senior boy who joined the BFF family after his dad had to move back overseas. At 13 years young, Kimba would have struggled with the move and therefore his dad made the difficult decision to surrender him to BFF for rehoming. Kimba came into care a bit cranky with all the recent changes, but after weeks of gentle love, he’s come around!

Although 13, Kimba still has flashes of his youth and plays games like the kitten he is inside. He loves things on sticks, and will bat it and chase it around. But like any old man, he enjoys his down time and spends most of his time snoozing the days away. He is a beautiful Himalayan and has a magnificent coat, and with that comes regular grooming. Luckily, Kimba loves brushes and will no protest to a beauty regime.

Kimba is looking for a home to retire in, and have a companion who will simply spend time with him. He can get a bit cranky if given pats and attention when he’s not in the mood, and does have a tendency to tell you to back off with a bat of his paw if he’s not happy. This is understandable - Kimba is an old man and simply knows what he likes! For this reason, we don’t think he would be suitable for small children who might be a bit grabby.

However, he is most happy when he is with his human and his favourite thing to do is curl up near you and purr his little heart out. And doesn’t he purr! Think old Diesel engine and this is how he sounds! No pats necessary, just company is all he wants.

Kimba is looking for humans to love him and keep him company for his golden years. Ideally, his new humans will be home a lot so he has someone to hang out with and keep him company. They will understand that sometimes he just needs his space, but will sometimes want pats (but not too many).
