About Honey ~ Cavalier x Shih Tzu (on trial 7/2/2018)
Let me introduce sweet little Honey, who is a three year old Cavalier cross Shih Tzu (around five kilos). Honey has a warm personality, she likes her walks and enjoys playing with her toys but even more loves to snuggle on your lap. Although she has eight other dogs living with her, Honey gets along fine with all of them. In her previous home she also had the company of a cat and chickens and got on fine with them too!
Honey sleeps inside in her crate at night and goes off to her bed when you tell her goodnight. She will come to you and sit when she is called. Although she enjoys human company she can be trusted to spend some time alone.
Honey will fit into most families but of course small children need to be supervised and respectful of her. She would be fine in a small yard and is not an escape artist.
This little girl will need regular grooming and brushing. So if you are looking for a lap snuggler who is relaxed and easy going then Honey is the dog for you!
For more information or to meet Honey, please contact her foster carer Anne on anne_mccondach_3@hotmail.com. Honey is in foster care in Abermain, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate.
Honey’s adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
